Bought a $60 forge blower off Amazon and it died in 3 weeks
Picked up one of those cheap cast iron blowers for my coal forge and it seized up after maybe 10 uses. The bearings are shot and the housing cracked right where the handle mounts. Anybody had luck with a specific brand that actually holds up for daily work?

Did you try blowing on it first like I do with my old hair dryer?

Haven't tried the hair dryer method but does that actually work for electronics? I've done the old blow on cartridges and stuff but never thought about using a hair dryer for anything bigger. Seems like it could help if there's moisture or dust in the vents but I'd worry about melting something. What kind of device did you use it on anyway?
