Unpopular opinion: The Bear season 2 is better than season 1 and I will die on this hill
My buddy Dave, who runs a BBQ joint downtown, told me last week that season 2 was boring because "nobody yelled enough." I get that the chaos of season 1 was intense, but the character building in season 2 hit different for me. Watching Sydney actually figure out her menu instead of just surviving service felt more real. Dave said I'm wrong and we're not watching the new season together now. Anyone else think the quieter episodes made the whole thing better?

Ebraheim having that whole arc about his past and his family made me tear up more than any yelling match could. That episode alone justifies the slower pace.

And the thing is, they didn't rush it either. They let his quiet moments breathe, like when he's just sitting with his nephew or staring out that window. That's what made it hit HARD, because you FELT him processing all that weight instead of just having him shout about it.

Ebraheim's arc was the one that got me too. That whole episode felt like watching someone actually work through their stuff instead of just reacting to it. Makes the whole season feel more earned than just nonstop tension.
