TIL 'Dark' has a German language setting that changes the whole vibe
I started watching Dark on Netflix last week and got about 4 episodes in with the English dub. Something felt off about the acting, like the voices didn't match the faces. I mentioned it to my buddy who works at a video store and he told me to switch it to German with subtitles. It took me like 20 minutes to figure out where the audio settings were buried in Netflix's menus. The show is completely different now, the emotions hit way harder when you hear the actual actors' voices. Has anyone else had a show totally transform after ditching the dubbed version?

Subs are fine but you're acting like this is some life changing revelation.

Nah man, I get what you're saying but honestly I used to think subs were just... whatever, background noise basically. I remember when a buddy first tried them and I was like, "dude that's just placebo." But then I tried a guided meditation with one that had these extremely specific affirmations about confidence and within a week I was walking into meetings feeling way less nervous. It wasn't some huge overnight flip but after a few months I realized I was reacting to stuff differently without even thinking about it. Not saying it's magic or anything, but it definitely changed what I thought was possible for my own brain.

Wait, are you saying subs changed how you act in meetings? How does reading subtitles on a show translate to feeling less nervous at work?
