That one friend who fast forwarded through the intro of every episode

My buddy Mark came over last weekend to binge the new season of Severance with me. We got through like 5 episodes and every single time the intro music started he grabbed the remote and skipped it. I told him the intro is part of the show and he just shrugged and said he hates repeating stuff. By episode 4 I was legit annoyed but he kept doing it. Has anyone else had a binge partner ruin the vibe like that?

Ugh "he hates repeating stuff" is such a weak excuse lol. The intro IS part of the show, it sets the mood and everything. Skipping it every single time feels disrespectful to the makers who put work into it. Plus it just breaks the flow for everyone else watching. Next time tell him to stay home if he can't handle 90 seconds of music.

90 seconds adds up when you're binging 4 episodes in a row lol, that's like 6 minutes of the same song you've heard a hundred times. I'd rather just get to the actual show, especially if I'm watching something I've seen before. The makers already got paid for their work, they'll survive if I skip their little music video once or twice lmao.

Ha, I used to be that guy myself. I always skipped intros thinking they were a waste of time, but after watching a show with a friend who got legit annoyed, I started letting them play and realized they really do set the tone. Ever since then I've stopped skipping them, maybe your buddy just needs the same wake-up call.
