Spent $30 on a streaming stick and it blew my mind

I always thought smart TVs were good enough for streaming shows. Then my 4 year old Roku TV started buffering every 15 minutes during The Wire. I grabbed a Walmart Onn stick for $30 last weekend. Plugged it in and everything loads instantly now. Anyone else find that a cheap add-on stick fixes years of frustration with built-in TV apps?

Oh wow, did you notice a difference with the picture quality too or was it mainly just the buffering that went away?

Yeah the interface alone felt way snappier than my built-in apps.

Wait, did you notice a picture quality difference too? I think the streaming stick just handles the data better so it doesn't have to compress the video as much when it buffers. The built-in TV apps usually have weaker processors that can't keep up.
