Rewatching The Leftovers after 5 years and it's a whole different show now
When it first aired I thought it was just pretentious nonsense about sad people, but now I'm on episode 4 and already texting my buddy asking how he got through season 2 without losing his mind. Anybody else have a show they wrote off early and had to circle back to later?

Wait, so you're telling me it's actually worth suffering through that first season where everyone just stands around looking sad in the rain?

Oh man, @willow407 I gotta disagree with you there. That rainy season is pure atmosphere. It sets the whole mood for what comes later. You can't have the payoff without the setup. Stick with it, the slow burn is totally worth it in the end.
