Rant: I just blew a whole weekend on that new fantasy show everyone's raving about

My friends kept telling me I had to watch 'Chronicles of the Ember Isle', so I finally sat down Friday night. I forced myself through six episodes waiting for it to get good, but the plot just went in circles and the main guy was so boring. I lost about 12 hours I could have spent on something actually fun, like rewatching 'Arcane'. Has anyone else felt totally let down by a show that got tons of hype?

Nah man, I was hooked from the first episode. The world building is insane and the slow burn pays off big time later.

It took me a few episodes to really get into it. The start felt a bit too slow for my taste.
