Picked The Wire over Breaking Bad for my January binge, and now I'm 4 seasons deep at 2am every night
My buddy Marcus kept pushing Breaking Bad but I went with The Wire because I wanted something set in Baltimore after visiting my sister there in December. 4 seasons in and I'm staying up till 2am most nights because every episode ends on a cliffhanger that makes it impossible to stop. The show is slower than I expected but the Omar character alone is worth the whole watch. Anyone else pick the slower burn show over the flashier one and regret it, or did it pay off for you too?
