My wife insisted we watch a nature documentary marathon, but I snuck in one episode of 'The Bear' and now we're on season two.

The difference was immediate, because watching chefs scream about a missing can of tomatoes is way more stressful and compelling than watching penguins waddle for the hundredth time.

You're right about the missing can of tomatoes being more stressful. I used to think nature docs were the peak of tension, but watching a kitchen fall apart over something so small is a whole different kind of real. It makes the animal drama feel slow by comparison. Now I get why people are so hooked on that show.

Ever feel that stress in your own kitchen?

Totally! It's like the small stuff hits harder because it's real life. You can't just change the channel on your own kitchen falling apart. That's why those tiny dramas stick with you.
