My mom's 'just skip the intro' rule broke my rewatch habit

Last Tuesday I was watching a show with my mom and she kept telling me to skip the intro every single episode, which I never do because I like the theme song. She said it's like eating the same appetizer at every meal, you already know it's good, so why waste the time. Now I'm wondering if anyone else has a weird viewing rule that they thought was normal until someone called it out, or am I the only one who sits through intros on purpose?

wait, do you also sing along to the whole intro every time? cause i do that and my friends think im insane. it's like the show doesnt fully start until i've heard the song and seen the title card drop. plus some intros change little details per episode, so you miss those easter eggs if you skip.
