My friend made me question why I rewatch The Office every year
Last week my buddy pointed out I've seen the same 9 seasons 8 times in 5 years and asked if I was scared of trying new shows, and now I can't stop thinking about whether I'm just addicted to comfort.

Season 2 is where Parks and Rec really finds its groove honestly. Leslie starts becoming actually likable instead of just cringey. Ron Swanson becomes the absolute best character by episode 5 or 6 I think. The whole cast just clicks way better than The Office ever did for me. Give it until the Harvest Festival episode that's when it truly hits its stride. You won't regret sticking with it.

Oh man, @thea857 you're so right about the Harvest Festival episode being the turning point! That's actually the exact moment I tell people to push through to too. But I gotta ask, what makes you say Parks and Rec clicks better than The Office? For me it's the optimism, even when stuff goes wrong the characters actually care about each other. The Office felt mean sometimes, like you were laughing at people instead of with them. Do you think that's what sets Parks apart for you, or is it something else with the cast chemistry?
