Honestly, "depressing for no reason" is exactly how I felt the first time I tried it lol. I actually bailed after two episodes the first go around, but a friend kept bugging me to give it another shot. What made it click for me was treating the first season like a study in grief rather than a mystery you have to solve. Once I stopped waiting for answers about the big event and just watched how broken people deal with it, the whole thing flipped for me. It's still heavy, yeah, but not pointless heavy if that makes any sense.

Three episodes is way too many. I lasted 45 minutes into the first one and turned it off, that show is just depressing for no reason. Life's too short to waste on something that makes you feel miserable.

I pushed through the first two episodes and honestly almost gave up too. Around episode 4 it clicked for me when they started showing more of the backstory and why the characters act the way they do. Did you skip ahead at all or just totally bail?
