Just finished watching The Americans for the first time
I finally got around to starting The Americans on Amazon Prime two weeks ago. I thought a show about Soviet spies in the 1980s would feel dated but I was completely wrong. The character development is incredible and I ended up watching 5 episodes in one night last Thursday. My wife walked in on the scene where they had to hide a body in the garage and she sat down for the next three episodes with me. Has anyone else discovered a show years late that completely blew them away?

Replying to lunakim: Did the garage scene grab her that hard or was it something earlier that hooked her? I feel like that episode where Elizabeth has to turn the guy on the train is the one that really sets the tone for how far they'll go. My partner walked in during a random scene too and next thing I know she's asking "wait, did they just kill that guy?" and we're three seasons deep. What episode was the one that made her stop and watch with you?
