I completely reversed my opinion on sci-fi series after one binge

Honestly, I always thought sci-fi was just for hardcore fans. Tbh, I never gave it a proper shot. Then I tried this show everyone was talking about, and I couldn't stop watching. Ngl, it's incredibly engaging and accessible. If you're like I was, you might be missing out on some amazing stories.

That show's first season hooked me too, @adam_thompson53, it was way more character-driven than I expected.

Actually think that first season spent way too much time on character backstories at the expense of the plot. The whole middle section dragged because of it. Sci-fi needs a strong hook of world-building or cool ideas to pull you in, not just personal drama. Guess some folks just prefer different things in their shows.
