Hit my 100th show finished and my watch list is totally different now
I used to just grab whatever looked good on the main page of a streaming service. I'd watch the first episode of ten different things in a night and never finish any of them. About a year ago, I started keeping a list on my phone. I add a show only after reading a few reviews from people who like the same stuff I do. The big change was finishing 'Dark' on Netflix. That show needed my full attention, and it felt so good to see it through. Now I pick one show at a time and commit to it. My list is shorter, but I actually finish things and remember them. Does anyone else find they enjoy shows more when they watch them one at a time instead of jumping around?

Totally get what you mean about finishing 'Dark' changing the game. That show is a commitment, you can't even look at your phone. It made me do the same thing, pick one and stick with it. Like @keith426 said, a real list you can follow beats just staring at a home screen. I started with shorter stuff to build the habit, like a limited series. Finishing a whole story in eight episodes felt way better than bailing on three different shows. Now I'm actually excited to watch instead of just filling time.

You said your list is shorter now, but I see it differently. The list on your phone isn't shorter, it's just more real. Before, your list was every show on the service, which meant it was actually no list at all. Now it's a real plan you can follow. That focus is what lets you finish things. I did the same thing and it turned watching TV from background noise into something I actually look forward to.
