A viewer told me my recaps were too long and I cut them in half

They said 'nobody needs a 10 minute summary of a 45 minute show' so now I keep each episode recap under 5 minutes and my engagement actually went up, has anyone else gotten feedback that forced you to completely change your approach?

My first week doing game recaps I was hitting 12 minutes easy and a guy commented 'bro this is longer than the actual episode.' Cut me deep but he was right. Now I force myself to pick just three key moments and keep it tight. My views went up like 40 percent after I made that switch around month two. Sometimes the best feedback is the stuff that stings a little.
