Shoutout to the Park Tool BBT-22 bottom bracket tool that saved me from stripping a stubborn Shimano BB after 3 tries with a cheap one.
I've seen a huge difference in how cleanly I can remove press-fit bottom brackets now that I use a proper torque wrench and a good facing tool, versus just hammering them out and hoping for the best like I did for my first year in the shop.

@reesemoore I read somewhere cheap tools work fine til they don't. Luck runs out.

Did you ever try using an old chewed-up leather belt as a makeshift chain whip?

Hold up, is a bottom bracket tool really worth shouting out from the rooftops? lol I get that cheap tools strip and break, but I've used the same generic Park knockoff for like six years and never ruined a BB. Seems like if you clean the threads and go slow with some grease, you'll be fine 99% of the time. I've pulled out ten year old rusty Shimano units with a $12 amazon special and a breaker bar, no problems. Feels like this is more about technique than dropping cash on the boutique stuff.
