Shoutout to the $15 bearing press from Harbor Freight that got my old hub running smooth again

Spent 30 bucks on the bench mount version and it paid for itself after one wheel rebuild, has anyone else had luck with cheap press tools?

That "paid for itself after one wheel rebuild" line really hits home. I picked up a cheap little arbor press from a garage sale years ago and thought it would just sit around, but it's saved me so many trips to the shop. It's amazing how often you need something to push a bearing or bushing out, and even a basic model does the job if you're careful with alignment. Harbor Freight stuff gets a bad rap, but for something you use a few times a year, it's hard to beat the value. Glad you got your hub working again without spending a fortune on a fancy tool that does the same thing.

Did you have to shim it at all to get the alignment right?

Used to think cheap tools were a waste, but this totally proves me wrong.
