Hot take: I thought those cheap plastic tire levers were a waste of money.
Always used the metal ones, thought they were tougher. Broke a carbon rim last year trying to seat a stubborn tire bead. My buddy gave me a set of Pedro's levers, said they were softer. Tried them on a customer's deep section wheelset, no scratches, tire popped right on. Anyone else switch back to plastic for high end builds?

So you actually scratched a carbon rim with the metal ones?

Yeah Kevin, the metal pad compound is what really digs in.
