After 12 years of wrenching, I hit my 5,000th wheel true today
Was finishing up a DT Swiss wheel for a customer in Portland and my truing stand counter rolled past 5,000. Never kept track until I started logging every job in a notebook back in 2012. That number feels wild, especially since most of those were $25 trues that kept someone riding. How many wheels have you guys done in your career, or do you even bother counting?

Man, that's the kind of quiet persistence that keeps the whole bike world spinning, and honestly it's like the mechanic version of a librarian who remembers every book they've ever checked out. 5,000 small fixes adding up to something huge without ever making a big deal of it, that's the real backbone of any community.
