Told my sister her wedding dress made her look washed out, then backtracked hard
We were in the bridal shop in Nashville and she asked my honest opinion at the third fitting, the pale champagne one made her look tired and I said it before my brain caught up. She cried right there so I spun it as 'needs the right jewelry' and now she's gonna wear it anyway, was being blunt the right call or should I have just praised it like everyone else?

Used to figure honesty was always the way with family, but seeing how much it crushed her changed my mind on that. Some moments just need you in their corner, not giving a review.
