The awkward silence after I called out a friend's bad parenting at the park
Last Saturday at the playground in Oak Park, my friend let her 4-year-old scream at another kid for 10 minutes straight without saying a word. I had that "you're the problem" comment right on my tongue but I bit it down hard.

...and I was sitting there thinking "ma'am, your kid is literally auditioning for a villain role in a Disney movie." I would've said something too but you know how it is, parents get real defensive real quick. Honestly, that awkward silence probably spoke louder than any words would've. Did you at least shoot her a look that said "maybe, just maybe, you should step in?
