Pro tip: found out 73% of people lie in their dating app bios from a study on Psychology Today

So either everyone is exaggerating their height and hobbies or I'm the only honest one. But if everyone knows everyone else is lying, does that make it okay or just a stupid game we all play?

Gotta call out that "73%" stat real quick. Psychology Today isn't a peer reviewed journal, it's a pop magazine that publishes all kinds of soft studies with small sample sizes. That number probably came from a survey of like 200 college students, not exactly solid science.

Actually the 73% came from a 2017 meta-analysis that combined 15 different studies with over 3,000 participants total, which is about as solid as social science gets. I get the skepticism about pop science articles, but sometimes they actually link back to real research.
