Caught myself telling a homeowner their DIY paint job looked like a kindergartner's art project.
They were so proud of it too, but the roller marks were brutal and the tape lines were a mess. Has anyone else had to bite their tongue hard when someone shows off work they clearly rushed?

Did you tell them it looked like a bad case of the Mondays? I told my brother his fence painting looked like a toddler got hold of a bucket.

Well now, I'm not sure I'd go that far. We've all had days where things don't turn out the way we hoped, and a fence painting job isn't exactly brain surgery. I mean, unless it's peeling off or there's paint all over the windows, maybe cut the guy some slack. We're not all born with a steady hand or an eye for detail. Sometimes a little patience goes a long way, and a coat of paint can always be fixed later. It's just a fence at the end of the day, not a wedding cake.
