Almost told my coworker her idea was terrible during a meeting yesterday
We were in a planning session at work in Phoenix and she suggested using spreadsheets to track a 50-person project timeline. I literally had to bite my tongue because I wanted to say that's the dumbest thing I've heard all year. Has anyone else had to stop yourself from being brutally honest in a team meeting?

Take a breath, because calling someone's idea terrible in a meeting rarely ends well for you, not them. Spreadsheets might not be flashy, but they're easy to track and people already know how to use them, which counts for something. Unless the project is actually falling apart because of it, letting it slide is probably the smarter move.

Last month my manager pitched a "creative brainstorming wall" that was just sticky notes on a window, and I had to fake enthusiasm for twenty minutes while everyone pretended it was genius. I feel your pain, dude, because some ideas really do make you question everyone's sanity. What did you end up saying instead?
