My death row meal got simpler after a trip to New Orleans
I used to think I'd want some insane multi course feast, like 12 courses with fancy plating. Now I just want a fried shrimp po'boy from Parkway Bakery and a barq's root beer in the glass bottle. That trip in 2019 taught me that the messy, perfect bites are the ones you actually remember, not the showy stuff. Anyone else pare down their final meal to something humble and specific like that?
