Hit 14 hours on my offset in Abilene and now the fire won't hold steady, what gives?
I've run this same stick burner for 2 seasons and never had a cook go past 9 hours, so this long brisket cook threw me off. Anyone else notice their coal bed starts tunneling after hour 12 or is it just how I'm loading the splits?

I read that tunneling happens when ash chokes the coal bed after long cooks like that.
