Bought a fancy digital thermometer that died after two cooks

I dropped $75 on a ThermoPro TP20 last spring thinking it would be a game changer for my brisket. The receiver unit just stopped connecting to the probes halfway through a smoke, leaving me guessing on temps for six hours. I should have just stuck with my old reliable analog one. Anyone know a wireless thermometer that can actually survive some heat and smoke?

Mine's been solid for over a year.

Used to think those digital ones were the only way to go. My old ThermoPro did the same thing, just quit reading during a long pork shoulder. Now I keep my simple Taylor analog as a backup every single time.
