Almost lost my smoker at the Memphis BBQ Fest last year

I was set up at the Memphis in May BBQ contest last year, about 2 AM Saturday morning. Some guy wandered into our tent, said he was checking out setups. Next thing I know he's messing with the damper on my offset smoker while I'm grabbing wood. I caught him just as he was about to crank it wide open. If that damper had been left open all night, my brisket would have been a disaster. Now I chain my firebox door shut overnight at competitions. Has anyone else dealt with people messing with your rig during an all-night cook?
