Lost a whole lemon meringue pie in 3 seconds flat
Last Saturday I spent about 2 hours making a lemon meringue pie from scratch. Got the crust perfect, the filling set right, and the meringue browned just how I wanted. Set it on the counter to cool and turned around for maybe 30 seconds. My dog jumped up and ate the whole thing before I could even grab a slice. Worst part is I don't even blame him, it smelled amazing. Has anyone else had a pet destroy a bake right after it came out of the oven?

Man that is brutal, I feel your pain. My cat once knocked a whole cheesecake off the counter right after I set it out to cool, and she just licked the cream cheese filling clean while the crust sat in pieces on the floor. It took me forever to get the crust right too, and watching it all get wrecked in a split second is just soul crushing.
