Honestly, my birthday cake almost went in the trash last weekend.

The frosting split completely while I was trying to color it blue, so I just stirred in some extra cream cheese and turned it into a tasty dip for the leftover cake scraps. Anyone have a better fix for broken buttercream?

Actually, I see it the other way around. Sometimes a trifle is the best part, a little win in a tough day. Giving up on those small joys feels like the real surrender.
