Stopped by that new cafe in Greenville and their display case was... different.

They had all their croissants and danishes turned upside down, showing the bottoms, which were this perfect, even golden brown. The baker said they do it to prove the bake is right all the way through, not just on top. Has anyone else seen a shop do this, or is it just a local quirk?

Lol "tasted like regret" is too real. I had that happen with a weird energy drink last year. What finally worked for me was just mixing it with something else. Like half orange juice or even just seltzer. Piper_taylor65 asking if it ever tastes different is the real question though. Sometimes it's just a bad batch, sometimes the whole thing is a lost cause.
