Shoutout to the $18 dough scraper that saved my sourdough batch

I used to fight with a cheap plastic scraper that snapped in half on a stiff dough during a bake off at my sister's place in Toledo. So I dropped $18 on a stainless bench scraper with a wooden handle, and honestly I thought I was just wasting money on a fancy tool. Two weeks later I was doing a 75% hydration loaf and that thing cut and lifted the dough clean off the counter without tearing it once. My old scraper would have turned that batch into a sticky mess on the floor. Anyone else got a cheap tool they put off buying way too long?
