My sourdough starter took 14 days to get active

I started a new batch of sourdough starter 3 weeks ago and it took a full 14 days before i saw any real bubbles. I kept feeding it 100 grams of flour and 100 grams of water every day like the King Arthur guide said. Finally on day 15 it doubled in size overnight and i baked my first loaf last Wednesday. Has anyone else had a starter take that long or did i mess something up?

Did you try switching to whole wheat flour at that point?

Did you change anything on day 15 or just keep up the same feeding schedule?

Day 14 is when I shake everything up and swap to the opposite schedule.
