My sourdough starter finally passed the float test after two months of fails.
I used to just feed it once a day and keep it in a cool spot, but it never got bubbly enough. About three weeks ago, I switched to feeding it twice daily with warm water and moved it to the top of my fridge. Yesterday morning, I dropped a spoonful in a glass of water and it floated right up. Has anyone else had to change their feeding routine to get a starter going?

I was a once-a-day believer too until that exact trick saved mine, lol.

Wait, you're saying that trick actually saved your life? I mean, I always heard people talk about it but I never thought it was real. That's kind of crazy to hear it from someone directly. Idk, maybe it's just me but that changes how I look at the whole thing.

Glad it worked for you @michael_burns, but my own experience taught me a different lesson.
