Warning: my neighbor just put up a fence 2 feet onto my property

I came home from work last Thursday and saw the new fence posts were already in... right through the middle of my flower bed. I checked my survey from when I bought the place and sure enough, they're a full 24 inches over the line. When I went over to talk about it, the guy just shrugged and said, 'It looks fine from here.' I've got the paperwork, but now I have to deal with this huge mess. Has anyone had to get a surveyor back out to prove a point like this?

The guy actually said it looks fine from his side? That's next level audacity. You have the survey in hand and he still tried to blow you off. Getting the surveyor back out is the only move, it shuts down any argument. Be ready for him to get real mad when the official report says he's wrong.

Did you see that story about the neighbor who built a whole shed over the property line? They had a survey too and the other guy kept saying his fence was right. The surveyor came back with stakes and bright paint, and it showed the shed was like two feet over. The neighbor had to take the whole thing down! A clear, marked line stops all the "from my side" talk. It's worth every penny to have that pro come out and make it plain for everyone to see.
