Vent: The guy who put his TV on the shared fence line

My neighbor Jason mounted a flatscreen on our shared wooden fence last summer. I thought he was joking until I heard the game blasting through my bedroom wall at 2 AM. Turns out he got the idea from a TikTok hack, and now the fence is wobbling from the weight. Has anyone else dealt with a neighbor using your shared property for their setup?

I mean, maybe it's just me but Jason honestly sounds like a guy who tries stuff out and doesn't always think it through. The TikTok hack thing is kinda funny, like at least he's not afraid to try something different even if it turns out terrible. I can totally see someone getting that idea and just going for it without really understanding how fences work. The noise at 2 AM is definitely a problem though, that part I can't defend at all. But idk, the fence wobble thing seems fixable with some extra support and a conversation, not worth burning the whole bridge over it.

Wow, that's just bizarre. I can't believe he thought mounting a TV to a fence was a good idea. Those fences aren't built to hold anything heavy, they just split up yards. The wobbling would drive me nuts, and the noise at 2 AM is just plain disrespectful. You might want to check your local rules about shared fences, because that definitely sounds like he's damaging the property.
