The leaf blower war with my neighbor ended at 6am last Thursday

My neighbor Mike started blowing his driveway at 5:45am every single day, so I bought a 78 decibel air horn and blasted it right back at his fence line for 3 days straight. He finally came over and admitted he had no idea the noise carried that bad, and we agreed on a 9am rule instead. Has anyone else gotten a loud neighbor to actually compromise with a taste of their own medicine?

Oh man, this is the only thing that ever works with stubborn neighbors, honestly. I did almost the same thing with a guy who ran a woodchipper at sunrise, and it took me about two days of playing bagpipe music on a speaker by his fence before he got the hint. The key is to stay calm when they finally come talk to you, even though you wanna scream. Once you agree on a set time, write it down and stick to it, because the second you slip up, they'll use that against you. And if they ever try to push it back again, you just remind them of the air horn noise, they know you mean business.
