Rant: I looked up the noise ordinance in my town and it's way stricter than I thought, found it buried on the city website.

Honestly, I was shocked to see our quiet hours start at 10 PM on weeknights, not midnight, which means my neighbor's weekly Wednesday karaoke is actually illegal and I can finally call it in.

Actually, I feel like we usually know the rules... we just decide they don't apply to us in the moment. Like speeding or taking an extra long lunch. It's more about choosing to ignore them.
