My neighbor's dog dug under my fence 4 times in a month

I live in a older neighborhood in Phoenix and my back fence was already weak. The guy next door lets his pit mix run loose all day. First time I found the hole I patched it with dirt and rocks. Second time I put concrete blocks on my side. By the fourth hole I was out $150 for materials and a full Saturday of work. I finally called code enforcement and they made him reinforce his side with a concrete footer. Anyone else deal with a neighbor who just lets their dog destroy shared property?

counterpoint - the neighbor probably got tired of patching a shitty old fence that wasn't his property in the first place. jesse_fisher's buddy getting a whole section paid for sounds nice but most people would be pissed if they had to drop 400 bucks cause their neighbor's fence fell apart. maybe the guy just didn't have the cash to fix something that was already half broken before he moved in.

You ever have a buddy who just doesn't learn? My friend Mike had the same problem with a lab mix that kept digging under his fence. He tried everything, dirt, rocks, even buried chicken wire. Finally he just called animal control on the guy. They showed up and the neighbor had to pay for a whole new fence section. Cost him like 400 bucks.
