I thought the guy complaining about his neighbor's tree roots was just being petty

Then the roots cracked my foundation and the quote to fix it was $12,000. Anyone else had a property line issue turn into a massive repair bill?

Twelve grand is a lot for foundation work. That quote seems high without a second opinion. Might be worth checking local contractor reviews first.

Yeah, a friend got quoted ten grand and found someone else to do it for half.

Totally agree about getting that second opinion. I got three quotes for my place and they were all over the map. The high one was almost double the lowest. It's crazy how much prices can change.
