I finally got my neighbor to stop parking in my spot

This was in my old apartment complex in Tacoma, where the spots weren't marked but everyone knew which was theirs. For months, my neighbor's guest would take my space. I left three polite notes with no luck. Last month, I started parking my own car right on the line, leaving just enough room for my motorcycle behind it. After two days of his guest having to squeeze out their door, they stopped coming over. Has anyone else had to get creative with parking wars?

Ugh, I just saw a news story about a huge fight over this at a mall parking lot. People take it way too seriously sometimes.

Parking wars can get so stressful when people ignore the unspoken rules. Your solution was pretty clever without causing a real fight. It reminds me of what @ericmason said about fights in public lots, things really do get heated over a patch of asphalt. Glad you found a way to make your point and get your spot back.
