HOA fine for a sprinkler I never owned, the county records proved it
My HOA hit me with a $250 violation notice for a broken sprinkler head in the strip between my fence and the neighbor's driveway, but that strip is actually on their deed, not mine. I pulled the county assessor map online last Tuesday and it clearly shows the property line cuts through my rose bush, so the sprinkler is 100% theirs. Has anyone else gotten their HOA to back off by bringing in official records, or do I need to lawyer up over this?

Did you email them the county map before or after the fine was posted? Curious if they even looked at it, or if they just gave you the standard "we review appeals quarterly" runaround that HOAs love. Also, is the rose bush actually on the boundary line, cause that might be its own headache with fences and easements if they ever decide to get petty.
