Finally found a way to stop my neighbor's dog from barking at my fence line

For six months that lab mix would stand right by the fence and bark every time I went in my backyard. I tried talking to the owner, bought a sonic device, nothing worked. Then I read online that dogs bark less if they can't see movement, so I hung a cheap outdoor curtain on the inside of my chain link fence. It's been two weeks and the barking stopped completely. Has anyone else found a simple fix like this that actually worked for a noisy neighbor?

Wait, does the curtain block your view of the whole yard though?

oh man, I see it totally different. yeah, a curtain blocks some view but you can get a cheap sheer one or cut it to just cover the part by the fenceline where the dog stands. i hung mine so its only like 2 feet tall and i can see the rest of my yard just fine. idk, i feel like people overthink these fixes. its not like you need a full wall, just enough to break their line of sight. maybe im wrong but i think folks give up too quick on simple stuff like this because they want some fancy solution.
