Shoutout to my grandma who boiled spaghetti in the coffee pot during the '98 ice storm
My grandma Ruth was stuck without power for 6 days in Ottawa and decided the Mr. Coffee was basically a pasta cooker. She ran the spaghetti through the brew cycle twice, dumped the water, and poured cold Prego straight from the jar on top because the stove was dead. I was 9 and I still think about that soggy batch every time I drain noodles. Has anyone here actually reused a coffee maker for something this cursed, or is she still the champ?
Reminds me of my uncle brewing hot dogs in his coffee maker during a blackout. The water tasted like Oscar Mayer for a month after. Your grandma wins though, Prego straight from the jar is a power move.
