Microwave scrambled eggs: is it lazy genius or straight up disrespect to breakfast?
Okay so last Tuesday I was running late for a grooming appointment and my stove was covered in dog hair from a matted poodle I'd just finished. I decided to nuke some eggs in a coffee mug with a splash of milk and a blob of butter. They came out rubbery on the edges and somehow liquid in the middle, but I ate them anyway because I had 10 minutes. My friend swears that if you stir every 15 seconds and add a pinch of baking powder they turn out fluffy, but I tried that once and got a weird foam explosion all over the microwave door. What's the actual consensus here, are microwave eggs a legit emergency hack or a crime against brunch? Has anyone gotten them to taste even close to stovetop, or are we all just lying to ourselves for convenience?
