The $3 garage sale candle that had a fake wick

Honestly, my aunt gave me this candle for my birthday last month and I didn't notice until I tried to light it in my kitchen in Portland. The wick was just painted on the top, like a sticker. It made me rethink if she ever actually looks at what she buys or just grabs anything from a bin. Has anyone else gotten something that was literally a fake version of the real thing?
