The $2 candle that smells like a burnt gym sock still haunts me

My coworker Karen gave me this candle for Secret Santa 3 years ago and I still remember peeling off the lid like it was yesterday. The label said 'Fresh Linen' but it genuinely smelled like someone left a sweaty sock on a radiator for a week. I lit it once to be polite and my cat actually left the room, which has never happened before or since. Weird part is I looked up the brand online and found out they made a whole line of these 'natural scent' candles using recycled oils. Has anyone else gotten a gift that was so bad it became a family joke at every holiday after?

Yikes, my aunt once gave me a candle that smelled like burnt toast and now we call it the "breakfast fire" every Thanksgiving.
