My sister in law got me a $30 candle that smelled like bacon

I love bacon dont get me wrong but who wants their living room to smell like a diner at 9am? She wrapped it all fancy with a bow and everything. Lighted it once and my cat wouldnt stop trying to lick the wax. Has anyone else gotten food scented candles that just dont work for a home?

You ever think maybe food scented candles are just a trap for pets? My buddy got a pumpkin pie one and his dog literally tried to eat the jar. Left teeth marks on it and everything. The real issue is these companies know youre gonna buy anything that smells like your favorite food cause it triggers that nostalgia hit. But then you actually light it and realize your whole house just smells like a breakfast buffet that never ends. My guess is your sis in law saw it on some list of quirky gifts and thought hey bacon = you = perfect. Respect the effort but that candle belongs in the trash or regifted to someone who doesnt mind their place smelling like a short order cook.
