Got a "gourmet" seasoning set for Christmas that was just 6 jars of salt with different labels

It was the day after Christmas and I opened this box from my aunt. Literally every single jar had salt as the first ingredient, even the "garlic pepper" one. I checked the whole set and it cost her $45 from some mall kiosk. Has anyone else gotten those fake food gift sets that are basically just marketing?

Not gonna lie, I kind of disagree. I mean, yeah those mall kiosk sets are overpriced, but salt is literally the most important seasoning there is. You can't make anything taste good without it. If the garlic pepper one had some actual garlic and pepper flakes in there, it's not like it's just pretending to be something else.

That garlic pepper salt thing kills me because black pepper actually has flavor and so does garlic powder, but they still loaded it with salt so it was basically just expensive salt with a whisper of seasoning. These companies bet on people not reading labels because they know salt is cheap and fill you up but doesn't taste like anything special. I got a "premium spice collection" from a coworker once that had "truffle salt" and "smoked salt" and "pink salt" and the only difference was the color of the crystals. At least your aunt tried but those mall kiosk people are straight up scammers selling colored salt for $45 a pop.
